LG Octane Review

LG Octane Review

LG mobiles offer the LG Octane especially created for the text messaging enthusiasts. Octane comes in an interesting form factor with a full QWERTY keyboard and two screens. The outer LCD display is relatively smaller than the internal one which is 240×320 pixels.

LG Octane is a curious mix of the LGenV Touch and the LG cosmos. It takes over from the former in terms of the same clamshell look but is more functional and comes with better stereo speakers.

The word ‘social networking’ and LG Octane go hand in hand. This handset focuses on social networking a lot more clearly than the Micromax Q66 or Motorola EX128, which fall within the same price range. LG octane offers inbuilt networking sites like facebook, twitter and My space.

One of the points where this mobile phone wins over its counterparts is the GPS navigation system key which is hard to find in a phone priced at that amount. The 3.2 mega pixel camera definitely manages to ‘capture’ attention as it is rare for a phone of that kind of a price to have 5 different camera resolutions along with camcorder with in built flash.

Not everything that looks good sounds good and LG Octane might just be the right example to prove this true. One should rather go for Nokia 5130 xpress music or Sony ericcson W205 if music forms an important part of their requirements from a mobile handset.

Overall LG Octane can prove to be a good choice for someone who likes to be connected with the world at all times but for one who can ignore the music player as well as the slightly heavy body factor.
