SecureDrive is a unique program that allows you to keep your data in secure form without you having to think about it. All these actions are performed "on the fly" and are transparent to you. Program adds new disks visible as regular disks and you can work with them as with regular ones - store your files there, install applications onto these disks, run them, etc. But you can be sure that your data is confidential. Moreover, you can immediately close the access to your data by locking a disk only without unmounting it (manually, by hotkey, when device cover is closed, etc). Also you can create disks without encrypting them, for ordering your files only and much more other functions. SecureDrive creates and supports encrypted disks and these disks are visible as regular disks with correspondent drive letters (for example, S: K: X: i.e. with any drive letter that is not used by other system devices). The data stored on a SecureDisk is stored in the container file. A container is a file, so it is possible to backup a container, move or copy it to another disk and continue access to your encrypted data using SecureDrive. Without a correct password, container file is just a file with encrypted contents. When the correct password is provided, the new disk is mounted, and appears as a drive letter. As data is read from this disk, SecureDrive automatically decrypts the data before it is loaded into memory. When data is written back to the disk, it is automatically re-encrypted. This process is completely transparent to the user or any application program - the data is caught "on the fly" as it transfers back and forth between the disk and memory. Consequently, users don't need to remember to decrypt or re-encrypt their data, or change the normal operation of the PDA.
