NewDATA9210 is a GSM Data modem for the Nokia Communicator 9210/9290. Although the Communicator is an excellent means of data entry when on the move, the keyboard, and screen are a bit small when at home, or in the hotel room. Why not use the big screen, and keyboard of your Laptop or PC, coupled via the serial cable to the Communicator when you not on the move. Just connect the serial port of your laptop, or PC via the Nokia DLR-2P cable to the communicator. Now start a terminal emulation application on your PC. To dial the telephone number of the remote host, and setup the connection very simply from newDATA9210, just press the "dial" button. To wait for an incoming DATA call, just press the "answer" button. NewDATA9210 and newDIALin9210 make an ideal pair: NewDIALin9210 when on the move NewDATA9210 when connections via GSM are still needed from a static location.
